Pre-corporate New Year “fever

It seems that only yesterday it was golden autumn outside the window, but the lights on the trees along the boulevards and the baskets with Christmas tree decorations in supermarkets are a sure sign of the approaching New Year. One more responsible and troublesome task is added to the usual bustle of pre-holiday days – organizing a New Year’s corporate party of your own company. And if we lived in an ideal world, then in October the budget of the event would be known, and the chef would give you carte blanche to implement any creative ideas. And also, an initiative group of like-minded colleagues would help you in everything. How far such a world is far from reality – only you know. Often the situation is different: the pre-corporate New Year’s “fever” begins.

In mid-December, armed with an approved budget and a list of requests from your management, you finally contact an event agency. This is the peak of the “hot” season, when decent venues (cafes, restaurants, concert halls, clubs, etc.) are already booked or offered at exorbitant prices. The same applies to catering services, artists, presenters and other event services. Pre-corporate fever is aggravated by the need to have time to summarize the year at work, to congratulate business partners, family matters and huge traffic jams. Such time pressure can ruin the charm of any holiday. By the end of December we are sometimes so exhausted that we prefer a cozy evening with the family to a noisy corporate party.

Is there no way out of this situation? We offer a non-standard solution to the problem! Why not have your New Year’s Eve corporate party in January? There are two ways to do it: Old New Year (January 13-14) and New Year according to the Eastern calendar (this year it’s January 28).
There are a lot of advantages to this approach.
First, it is an opportunity to reduce the event budget, which will surely pleasantly surprise your superiors.
Secondly, the January parties will help to prolong the feeling of a holiday. The fairy tale does not end at midnight on New Year’s Eve! After spending New Year’s Eve in the circle of loved ones, your colleagues will be happy to unwind at the corporate party.
And thirdly, it is a perfect occasion to arrange a themed party – New Year’s holidays with traditional attributes are over and it is time to think up something original.
Perhaps you’re worried that such a “radical” decision will fit poorly with the corporate culture of your firm? See point one! Even the most conservative management won’t be able to resist and will be interested in your idea!
